United Healthcare screwed up the billing for my preventative shot that I was not supposed to have to pay for! I ended up having to pay $122.00. Had my credits screwed up! United Healthcre kept saying they were taking care of it and it ended up in collection even after I agreed to pay half just to get the bills to stop. Dropped our regional hospitals and doctors in JULY. We're stuck with useless insurance for another 6 months. Nearest healthcare in network is 2 hours away. How can this be an ethical practice for patients/customers? They needed to be transparent that they were in negotitions with our drs and hospitals when we were choosing insurance for the year. Their customer service is based in the Phillipines and i cannot understand anyone that answers. And they cannot answer a simple question. The only response to various questions was" i see your charge of...". Bring customer service back to the states!!

So now I find out that United health care will no longer be offering any plans on the marketplace in 2017. Have no idea what to expect but I believe this to be an intentional way to get rid of the marketplace via the insurance companies. I HAVE WORKED IN A DR'S OFFICE FOR OVER 25 YEARS. IN ALL OF THESE YEARS, I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED A MORE DISHONEST COMPANY. THEIR FAVORITE "TRICK" IS TO "LOSE OR HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CLAIM" & THEIR PHONE REPS STATE TO REFILE. THEN THEY NEVER ACKNOWLEDGE GETTING A CLAIM UNTIL IT'S PAST THE TIMELY FILING LIMIT FOR CLAIM PAYMENT. I have been trying for 2 hours to get a doctor as my PCP and first time I called at 10 am said the system was updating to call back in an hour. I waited 2 and each time I talked with customer service was put on hold and they never came back. The next call the girl was nice but again the system was still updating was told to call back in the evening. Am i wrong in thinking the system should be updated much later after work hours? United healthcare wrongfully charged me more on a date from last year so they could get more money out of my pocket instead of charging me for the current year where the charge belongs!!! They are crooks, and when I appealed it the denied my appeal when I clearly showed the eob of the bill!!! Horrible customer service no one can tell you the same answer twice!!!
