After 13 years of being on the same medication on the first of the year it was denied. After going through a lengthy process of back and forth between the doctors office and them the Prior Approval was approved. I was told it'll be good for a year. Then on the first of July it was disapproved again. I was told they changed their formulary and I needed a Prior Approval again. I have a brain tumor... Read more

After being informed 3 weeks before 6/1/15 that our insurance was increasing by over 47% we quickly researched other policies through Marketplace. We were with UHC for the past 12 years through a former employer then through Cobra, my husband was unemployed. UHC seemed to be the only company that would cover my medications which was our greatest concern. I have been taking these medicines for the... Read more

In May of this year my husband received a statement from United Healthcare that he owed various providers over $20,000 for services received between 08/14 and 04/15. The funny thing is that they first paid the bills, and then TOOK MONEY BACK from the providers. Several phone calls did not result in any action; a letter to the CEO did not result in any action; more phone calls, nothing happening,... Read more

Very bad customer service, they need more English speaking agents or one that speak more than one language,no one can problem solve, all dept is not getting the same information. It all boils down to this the computer only gives you what's place there by your agents and no one is connecting the dots, and customer can't get the service and medical attention that is needed Add comment

I called to question a statement that I received. The line was picked up by a East Indian whom I could NOT understand, he kept asking me what my Id number was and kept on repeating it 4 times to be exact, I had such a hard time understanding him. When I asked him to repeat him self it seemed his accent got worse and worse to the point where I kept saying I do not understand you. Complete silence... Read more

I had United Healthcare Medicare Supplemental Insurance and prescription plans. My company was going to provide insurance and I called the phone number on my United Healthcare enrollment form to cancel my insurance. The Problem was that the representative I spoke with did not advise me that I had to call another number to cancel the prescription portion of the plan. I am continuing to be... Read more

This month was my first month on Medicare and a Supplemental Plan through United Healthcare. I received an email stating I could register online to follow my account. This registration process requires a member ID number. I put in my AARP member number and it rejected it. I looked high and low for a card or letter with my number for the Supplimental Plan, thinking it might be different from... Read more

They send you to Epic after claiming they cover 80% after the deductible. Epic is nothing but a runaround. They send you to shady places and cover almost nothing if you can get them to cover anything at all. Expect high pressure sales and the same prices a person off the street pays. Call United and get the run around some more. More endless holds and then they hang up on you if you ask to speak... Read more

Almost feel like you have to beg them to approve tests that your doctor recommends. I am not a big fan of them so far. I feel like I am talking to a wall with them. You have to get your blood pressure up fighting with them over getting a stress test for your heart. My doctor had to call them three times and still no approval. I guess they want me to have a heart attack and go to the... Read more
