I was diagnosed with incurable disease that causes chronic pain. I was put on medication by a pain management dr and the ins would only allow me 20 pills. I called them because my dr wants to prescribe enough for every four to 6 hrs and the ins co will not cover them. And they are due on Tues which will be my next appt. I'm sick of the ins co and the pharmacy playing dr. The dr writes the script... Read more

Prescription coverage is a joke. My first issue came when I was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis. My Surgeon prescribed a 30 day supply of Oxycodone 10mg, which according to their own list was an approved drug. They disallowed it because "it's only approved for a 5 day period", which is stated nowhere in the patient or doctors information. So I had to go out of pocket for over $90.00. It isn't like... I attempted to call customer service at United Health Care and was on hold for over 2 hours and never spoke to a customer service representative. The hold music played continuously and there were numerous messages about auto deductions and high blood pressure. I called back after two hours and was still put on hold and still never spoke to a customer service representative. This is totally... Read more

United didn't put my information in their system until 9 days after coverage was supposed to start (1/1/15), 20 days after I paid the premium. I got a BILL 1/12/15, despite paying Dec. 19th! They have STILL not sent any of the documents that should have come before 1/1/15, including an ID card, which means I can't get my prescription filled. I can't print my ID card from their site, because there... Read more

My fee for Plan 3 Medicare went from $1.20/month in 2013 to $1.30/month 2014 and now my monthly fee is $55/month...I found out when I went to my account on their website.. There was a charge of $56.30 which I assumed was for the entire year.. I was wrong..the fee is per month..and then they had the nerve to charge me $1.30 for being late.. I made the payment on the 2nd of Jan 2015...They have... Read more

I have been a United customer for drug coverage since 2008. No complaints until now. When I decided, at the end of October 2014, to move from NJ to NY, I called UHC to change my address. Mistake! I was, of course, told that a new policy would have to be written, conforming to New York State rules. I went through the registration process on the phone and was welcomed and told my coverage would... Read more

What a horrid company UHC is! Their agents blatantly lie to cheat one out of money. My situation began when I wanted to go to a physical therapist regarding a lower back injury I had encountered on my own. I shopped around for a couple months to find an office that would take UHC and charged acceptable rates. I found a highly-rated office that said with a referral I wouldn't have to pay much... I have several complaints but the most recent was the stick that broke the camels back, I am switching to another provider. I called to see if I could get my refill of Cymbalta early because I would be out of state for the holidays. I was switched to a different department 3 times, lost connection 2 times and then speaking with the 5th person for over 45 mins, being placed on hold 3 to 4 times... Read more
