I have had very little good to say about your customer service representatives....they lie to you...they are not knowledgeable even when the information you are asking is right in front of them...today I called your company around 4pm...automatic called me back at 422pm....I talked to a customer service person and ask for a supervisor because of todays problems and prior issues....they insisted they can handle it....I said NO....I want a supervisor....they got a short description of my complaint....I was on hold until 502pm until that person... I have had United Healthcare insurance since the beginning of 2015. I have always paid my health insurance payments, however, unfortunately, United Healthcare never keeps their end by insuring me. All of 2015 I had to fight with them for every single visit. Each time I visited a doctor, the doctor was sent a letter to tell them I did not pay my premium and therefor the claim was denied. Called in my husbands prescription for a refill they told the drug store no it was mail order. We don't have mail order they mandated it.Then they said it isn't mail order problem the Dr has to call it in. The Dr called it in even thought there were 3 refills left. The story changed yet again they said my husband has to go in see the Dr review all his meds and then the Dr has to fill out a form to see if United Healthcare approves he needs to be on this med. I work for a hospital, and UHC is by far the worst company to deal with. They are inept. Today I was told that while they had received the appeal we'd sent in a month ago, they hadn't reviewed it and wouldn't be reviewing it b/c it was filed incorrectly. I had been told multiple times in the past month that they would review it soon... I asked the rep to transfer me to their supervisor, and was transferred to a full vm and eventually hung up on. This company is horrible. If you have a choice, choose something else. I have much better... Read more

the day before neck surgery they have not approved the claim. plans have been made, time off of work scheduled, family and friends all helping and in place. In big time pain, this has been scheduled for weeks now! They wont let you talk to the practitioner that approves the claim. If I have to reschedule, it could lead to even more damage. Can I sue? I have paid for the insurance and gone through all of the necessary hurdles they put you through. If it doesnt come back approved today, I plan to seek legal counsel. Any suggestions would be... Horrible company was scheduled for lumbar injections they waited till the day before procedure to deny it all my dr spent 3hours they said didn't get form so dr sent a new form put emergency they said would approve it the day of injections denyed it I'm so done with United health Read more

United health care ppo sulfolk county is terrible. There are no good doctors on this plan. The drug portion is not bad and actually it is pretty good. My complaint is that the repersentatives on yhe phone misrepresnt the product. I went over plan with them and in complete detail before I joined. They convinced me that all my current doctors were participting when there actually do not participate!. Now im stuck with this plan until next January. This really stinks.! Read more

We switched to a UHC Navigate insurance plan this year at my company. We all had to designate a primary care physician at the beginning of the year. The PCP needs to give a referral in order for us to see any other physician in order for UHC to cover the visit. I got a referral from my PCP in order to see an Endo. I saw the Endo. Now UHC refused to pay the claim because it was not an Electronic Referral. On the form where we designated our PCP it only refers to the referral as a referral. My husband and I was on UHC through the Indiana marketplace. I went onto Medicare March the first. Called UHC to cancel me off and keep coverage for my husband. When I did this I was told that he had to reapply, so they took his info again and adjusted the payment. Then all *** broke lose, we both still had insurance, but we would pay the bill and I would get a letter saying he had not paid. I wrote my PCM at Naval Hospital Bremerton on 24 March using their Relay Health account and requested a Mental Health Referral. I was not aware that I could self refer for the 1st 8 visits and I wasn't advised of that until today. Regardless, my PCM placed the referral and it was sent on the same day to the Referral Center and then sent out to the network (United Health).
