UHC hires people who don't even know how to speak or read English. They're extremely unprofessional and lack ethic one representative even told me to be quite and let him speak. I am a Type two Diabetic.I have been using Novalog Insulin for six years. I have tried to take Humalog and developed sevre internal itching and the effects take hours instead of minutes to work in my system. After having the doctor send in forms three times and being rejected by UHC i am left with sugars in the 350-400 range constantly. UHC says have your doctor send in the appropriate forms again. As a health care worker I always have problems getting surgeries authorized with United Health Care. When you call, all the employees pass you around saying "I can't help you", "I'm too busy to work on this now", "I don't care." It's really sad. Any other insurance company I deal with actually cares about their customers (our patients), United Health Care doesn't care one bit! Extremely frustrating!!! I have spent many hours on the phone... This company is the biggest scam around ! I over payed 853.00 in my meds back in Jan 2016 .. started my claim in April 2016 . I've talked to 4 agents 2 supervisors .. and I get different story's from everyone .. I've been on the phone for hours at a time .. now as of today the finally story is ext 72424 stated I'm not getting any money back .., no one knows what anyone is doing .. So, we have Letters of Administration issued by the court allowing us to get documents for my father. I am six months into my request and was first sent a computer printout that had columns that did not line up at all with the headings, so we aren't able to make heads or tails of it. I have issues with unite healthcare since day one costumer service sucks, I been paying about four month now never got my ID card I tried to get the information retrieve with my SSN but the seen to be a technical problem with their system...costumer service is only Monday through 8 am to 8 pm takes about an hour to get a hold so you hear am sorry is nothing I can do or transfer you to someone else sucks, sucks, sucks. At the end of every Hospital stay I've tried to file a claim but I have never been eligible. They always wiggle out of it by saying that I was "Not admitted to the Hospital, but was there for Observation" Since when is a 3 or 4 day stay inside a hosp. room being treated like every other patient qualify as "observation" ! We all know it's just a way to keep from paying a claim. They treat you like a *** ! I'm 84 have had this policy since 1988... Read more

I have paid my deductible 3 times and each time the full amount was NOT applied. I still owe my deductible... I had called in United advance to ensure I pay the proper amount specified by the representative. then all of a sudden 4-6 months later I get charged additional amounts from providers... then I am told that I should be reimbursed by the provider.. *Didn't have records of my first payments *Took 3 months to straighten out enrollment status and find out who the PCP was I could see. *2nd visit to PCP was notified I had been assigned to a different PCP without being notified. I have had issues with this insurance company from the start - every time I have needed anything, I have had to argue, fight and insist on speaking to a higher up. This last incident takes the cake though - I finally took my kids off of this policy (they will now be covered by my ex-spouse) to be effective on 9/1/16 and went to fill his prescription on 8/27/16.
