Refusal to cover necessary medications

Been completely ignored. They do not care about their customers just want to get as much medicare money as possible, our tax dollars!

Was poisoned by raw sewage 9/12-9/15/2023 stuck in a hotel room full of raw sewage. Have been, called and left messages on my patient chart with primary. Had a CT scan of my stomach, fine. Primary sent me to GI specialist, whom I saw today. Because of the extended length of my poisoning and receiving no relief from ANY other medications. I could have been affected by something deadly! The prescription he insisted on for help was not covered by United Healthcare and the cost to me was over $1k!!! The pharmacy called the Dr. office and was given another prescription, not as good but it was not covered by United Healthcare as well. I spent over an hour on the phone with totally incompetent employees. I was transferred to the pharmacy dept. where the very young woman was the most incompetent person I have ever spoken with. She again told me the prescriptions would not be covered and my Dr. was going to need to make 2 phone calls and fill out two forms. I don't know any Dr. who would take so much time, he spent 5 minutes with me. I ended up yelling at her to transfer me and she kept talking about pills! I had to yell at her 4 times to get her to finally transfer me. I eventually was connected to Krin, the supervisor who was so rude and of no assistance whatsoever. She showed no kindness, concern or compassion, and was a very poor employee. I am ready to change to a reliable, efficient company that actually cares about their clients, which you do not. I waited on the phone for over an hour just getting angrier. I so very much HATE your opening extensive information line, never can understand my birthdate and it asks way too many questions and statements when all I want to do is speak to an agent. I fear making the call, it upsets me so much! Please respond, Janet Sidwell

I called UHC with a simple question. Yet, nobody was able to answer it; I called 877 816 ****, then 800 721 ****, then 877 844 ****, then 199 002 ****, then 800 643 ****. They transferred me from the US to the Philippines, to India, and Puerto Rico. Some of them barely spoke English. After a few hours, I gave up. Can't wait to switch to another carrier.

I wanted to ask if I could add a stop at the publics supermarket in Orlando after my doctors appointment today and the person asked me her name is Brianna asked me do you know the address and I told her 400 Central Ave. or Boulevard corner of Lake Avenue in Orlando 32805 she has again do you know the full address and I said I gave it to you well its not coming up in our system. I repeat it.

Been trying to get insurance cards mailed to us for 6 weeks. Nothing but the runaround and empty promises. Our providers want our cards or they wont bill insurance. Cant even imagine how bad it will be when we actually have to file a claim.

Answered all of my questions with courtesy and respect. SATISFIED! I highly recommend United healthcare insurance to all that are interested in hospital indemnity insurance. The level of professionalism, courtesy and efficiency is impeccable. The time that it took for my insurance agent to assist me with the policy and questions was 20 mins or less.

I was told I would be approved for this Policy back in Open Enrollment last October/November. Then after the cut off period UHC Rejected my Application saying I had a problem that wasnt accepted due to my thyroid. Its not anything serious like heart disease, diabetes or cancer! Nothing like that! I told them upfront I didnt have anything very serious at all just that I took a thyroid pill once a day and that was pretty much it. Then being after the cut off I was stuck with a less than desirable health care provider that is expensive and Im not happy with at all! How and why are other more severe illnesses being accepted when I cannot? Seems so unfair to me! Plus because we are on the cut off financially we dont qualify for the marketplace insurance so we are paying cash each month for private coverage which is outrageous!

The same way they fraudulently signed me up, held me hostage, denied payment to my physician. It took me three months with the help of Medicare to get cut loose.

It has taken me 6 months of appealing their denial of payment to my physician before giving in. This country allows HMOs too much power.

OTC provider for UHC is terrible.

Many products are backordered but they don't tell you unless you call them. Many products are backordered and they take weeks or months to get them. They won't even consider a refund for 12 business days. The call center is understaffed and overburdened so hold times even when asking for a supervisor is almost an hour.
